J TORRALBA12-22-12 10:46 AMRated 2 I should have know better. Again, this morning the staff was very polite and kind. However, the US Bank policies are out to stick it to the consumer in any way the can. Highway robbery has taken a new meaning at US Bank. This morning I went to cash a check at the local branch only to be hit with a 5.00 fee just for cashing one of their checks.
I will make it my goal to inform as many people as possible with whatever means are at my disposal and let them know that US Bank is just a horrible institution that one should not deal with.
J TORRALBA08-18-11 3:06 PMRated 2 The staff at the Wet Linn Albertson branch is very professional, friendly and wonderful to engage with. So, my review of the bank is addressed at the bank and not the individuals which are really extremely nice.
My limited experience with US bank has left a lot to be desired. It looks like the policy makers of the bank went out of their way to find ways to nickle and dime you to death. I opened a loan of a substantial amount where the bank was going to make plenty of money off my interest payments. However, they manage to charge me several dollars for a counter check which only required the teller to click a mouse button and send a blank check to a printer. They charge you extra to close an account that I did not use. They charged me 25.00 to close a checking account. However, they did say they would wave the fee if I left the account open for another two month and just pay the 12.00 monthly fee. I think they even charge someone to come in an cash a check at the counter drawn on their bank or was that BA? Regardless, All banks charge but with US bank every experience was a sour one. Shop around if you need a bank. At least Wells Fargo is an interstate bank which lets you deposit into your accounts in other states. You can's do that with US bank.
